With the start of Season 22 Apex Kicked off with a new fun Revival mechanic which players seemed to have loved & enjoyed but it looks like they are not stopping there. During the ALGS Playoffs Apex Legends Lead Weapons DesignerEric Canavese hinted at the New LTM called “Knockout BR”.
The release date for this LTM has yet to be revealed but given the Next Apex update releases on Sept 17th, this mode will most likely be available in Split 2
“Knockout BR is a fun new twist on the Battle Royale, a New way to play with New Objectives in the game for you to fight over” Canavese continues “Throughout the game, there’s gonna be a lot of capture points that spawn, you’re gonna fight over these and you’re also gonna be earning points through getting kills, squad wipes etc, at some point when the round ends the bottom 5 teams are going to get Knocked Out”
Canavese explains respawns in further detail “In Knockout you got Infinite respawns; You can always come back and if things aren’t going well you can respawn somewhere else, kinda fly over and take the fight to one of these other capture points, So you got a lot of opportunities to make it through the End”
These were the only details that were shared regarding Knockout BR, It certainly sounds like a fun LTM with Interesting gameplay opportunities however, since it’s labeled as BR it may remove one of the three Gamemodes available in the playlist, so perhaps the removal of regular Trios might happen again.
