It’s so crazy that respawn managed to turn bringing back bp items into a bad thing by shoving the items into expensive loot boxes 💀 https://t.co/Ho0xI92KZl

Community Reaction
Players in the Apex community seem to have a mixed reaction over these Retro packs some seem to love them and some seem to dislike the way they are done, as the user @illegalpizza77 commented on X (formerly Twitter) “Enjoy spending $45 on something that many of us got, and way more, for $10”
and another comment by user @im_pyro_north“It’s so crazy that respawn managed to turn to bring back bp items into a bad thing by shoving the items into expensive loot boxes”
some players seem to be supporting this implementation, which takes away the FOMO (Fear Of Missing Out) factor that many publishers use to maximize their profits as mentioned by the user @FleetingMinded “The FOMO around missing battle passes has now completely vanished. Thanks, EA, you’ve freed me once and for all”
and another user by the name @sakanameron1 also shared their thoughts saying “Oh, this is the one from Battle Team Season 12 that includes both Seer and Loba that everyone wanted. mentioning their acquaintance @achikopixi”
Conclusion
And by looking at community responses it is clear that there is not a definitive answer to the question of “Does the community enjoy it?” because there are players that have joined after Apex Legends Season 11 hence they didn’t get a chance to obtain these skins and there is also a demographic of players that were playing since the beginning which in result led to them owning all the cosmetics. but one thing is clear Retro Packs are here to stay since it give players a chance to get these cosmetics even though they weren’t present during that season which overall is better for any new players that might join in the future
