Fortnite had pulled out many surprise cards but nothing like this and the community loved this decision from Epic now new players will also be able to experience the golden OG days of Fortnite It is an amazing step for Fortnite to implement this mode permanently, as many games have also started to test their OG events such as Apex Legends Launch Royale & Overwatch 2 Classic
Season Theme
According to leaker @HYPEX, Fortnite might also be adding cat-like animals with the release of Chapter 6 Season 1. Epic still needs to confirm more details, but thanks to leaks, we already know some details of how they could possibly function. Cats are leaked to have ‘Unique Expressions’ and will be our standard Air, Water & Basic types. Additionally, they will have some relation to the shrines, It’s highly possible that the cats might just be a map entity that you can assign to follow you around during the match and it is unlikely that they might be a collectible/cosmetic item
Fortnite Chapter 6 will be based around Traditional Japan and will feature Shrines, Rivers, Plains & Farmlands. Chapter 6 Season 1 is leaked to also have a Forest biome that will cycle through day & night through the match, Animals and NPC will also be spawned depending on the time of the match for example on the day it might spawn regular animals and at night there may be completely different types of creatures in Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 1
Augments & Minor Medallions
The fan-favorite reality augments feature might also be making a return with the Chapter 6 Season 1 update, and it seems like they will function differently compared to the previous version. Here is the list of augments that were recently found in files by@Wensoingon X
▫ Agile Mending
▫ Headshot Hunter
▫ Healthy Pouncer
▫ Revelling Revealer
▫ Vehicle Modifier
And according to a @ShiinaBR post on X, it seems like Fortnite is also working on a new type of Minor Medallion which might get introduced in Chapter 6, these will be smaller sets of medallions that will not be as game-changing as the old ones, and this is supposedly a canceled feature that Fortnite is giving another shot to it
New Industrial Town POI
Leaker @ShiinaBR has already revealed some exciting map updates that will be added with Chapter 6, according to the leaks the map will feature an Industrial Themed POI, the location of this POI is currently unknown but it is clear that the next Fortnite update theme will not ‘only’ be limited to traditional Japan, suggested by the user @Theragingreaper pointed out “Weird for a Japanese Mythic theme season launch BUTTT, that could mean it’s inspired in some parts and not the entire island”
Gameplay
According to leaker @ShiinaBR post on X, It’s leaked that Chapter 6 will supposedly also add “Prone” mechanics to the game, many games have implemented this feature and the response from the gaming community has always been bittersweet since some people love this mechanic and some dislike it so it is a great idea for Fortnite to test out this feature, and this is not the only gameplay mechanic that is rumored to be added, Fortnite will also be adding Swinging according to leakers Epic is also working on Rope mechanic that will let you Rope Repel on and climb up the ropes too, additionally you will also be able to swing across chandeliers that will be available on the map in Fortnite Chapter 6
Quad Launcher will also be making a return with Chapter Six, as leakers found a new and updated model of the Quad Launcher in files earlier this month and it seems like Fortnite is ready to ressuruct the chaotic weapon into the loot pool with the launch of the new season for the third-person shooter
After years of waiting, Fortnite will be introducing the First-Person Mode to the main game and players already getting an early look at it in the Creative Mode according to @FNassist post on X, Fortnite’s First Person Camera will be released in Fortnite Creative on December 11th, 2024
Battle Pass
As of now, there is no clue what might be the Battle Pass skins for Chapter 6 – Season 1, but Fortnite fans theorize that if the Season is a Traditional Japanese-themed we might see some classics from that period like Samurai, Shinobi, or maybe even Anime themed skins in next Season Battle Pass
And with the launch of Fortnite Chapter 6, Epic will remove the Battle Pass Star system, in favor of XP to level up your seasonal Battle Pass, many players have been begging Fortnite to implement this and it looks like their requests will finally be fulfilled in the next update of the game, XP provides more value and is less time consuming compared to the current start system according to fans
