The recent release of the NetEase Games ‘Marvel Rivals’ took the gaming industry by storm by gaining over 439,000 players on its first day of release on Steam leaving behind games like Palworld, Call Of Duty, Apex Legends & More, and peaking at 480,990 players on (December 8, 2024) just a few days after its initial release on 6 December, 2024, making it a commercial success for NetEase games. This was a market that many didn’t think would be profitable however with a great Dev team and Balance team Marvel Rivals is one of the most fun and interesting games released this year, before we get into the exciting leaks of characters and upcoming content an important note: The Chrono Tokens will not transition over to next season, or just from season to season in general. The Chrono Tokens players earn will have to be used within that season.

Marvel Rivals Season 1 Release Date
Marvel Rivals Season 1 is expected to be released in the New Year 2025. The Date for season release has not been provided yet but it will be around sometime in “Early January 2025” according to the Rivals creative director Guangyun Guangguang Chen in theirMarvel Rivals: Dev Vision Volume 1 YouTube video
Marvel Rivals 2025 Roadmap
The Marvel Rivals 2025 Roadmap will begin in January with the launch of Season 1, and it will be setting the Infrastructure for future season releases and what we can expect in terms of next content from NetEase Games, The Creative Director later stated that “each season will last around 3 months” meaning that we can theorize around how long each season will stay and when players can expect new season to begin, and considering there won’t be any unexpected changes the season releases should look something like this

And with NetEase devs claiming that datamining and leaking are pretty much impossible to stop, the Dataminer @RivalLeaks on X / Twitter has uncovered two of the upcoming hero abilities for Ultron and Human Torch from Fantastic 4 franchise

Launch forward a splittable fireball
Q – Supernova
Unleash shockwaves to deal damage to enemies within range. During skill activation, the flame field will transform into a flame tornado
LShift – Plasma Body
Hold LShift to enter a state of accelerated ascent
E – Pyro-Prison
Connect flame fields to form a firewall that deals burning damage to enemies
F – Flaming Meteor
Dive towards the ground and stun nearby enemies
Right Mouse click – Blazing Blast
Launch a flame ball to create a flame field at the targeted area
Rivals “Ultron” Abilities
And only within a few weeks, Dataminers & Leakers have unveiled what seems to be the next Heroes coming to Marvel Rivals within the next few seasons, According to leaks Ultron is scheduled to be released in Season 1 and he will supposedly be a two-star difficulty strategist with these abilities to his arsenal

Right Mouse click – Imperative Firewall
Summon drones to grant bonus health to allies within range, centered on himself and the ally marked with imperative Patch
